I as talking to 2 of my buddies today about all the pro and anti Trump news circulating on mainstream and social media. Somehow we veered off into false flag alien invasions and Steven Greer's last Youtube video. What I told my friends next represents my older and wiser outlook, which I guess can come across as jaded. I told them both, "disbelieve everything you see and hear first". I never received a response back, so I'm not sure what they thought about the remark- but I analized it right after.
I've trained myself to unravel everything I've been programmed to believe, deconstruct all the lectures, the videos, the religious stories, the pages in those history books- all of it. I've learned to put data under a microscope, and look closer at what I'm presented. This practice has allowed me to separate myself from what I am observing, and thus release emotion from data. It's allowed me to study many religions, understand many cultures, examine multiple mindsets and process many possibilities.
This process has been integral for my fitness career. I no longer subscribe to gurus and masters. It's no longer "resistance" training versus "crossfit", or "HIIT" training versus "steady state cardio". It's now functional training AND calisthenics, agility training AND plyometrics, kettle bell AND battlerope exercises. The tools in my tool belt are limitless, because I "disbelieve" that there is only 1 tool for the job. So next time you hear a "fact", begin your thought process by disbelieving the "fact". See where your disbelief leads you.
