I questioned my very adult pal Joe, trying to understand why he would take his 2 kids and his wife outside, at all times of the day, all armed with individual cell phones and determined to find invisible creatures that don't actually exist... "why are you playing Pokémon GO bro..?". He told me, "you know it actually has me and my family all hanging together outside, like actually together...". At that point I had what can only be described as an epiphany. I continued my line of questions. "Does it keep track of your movements...?". Joe replied, "yeah, keeps track of your miles walked". My interest grew deeper. "So it actually keeps track of your distance traveled?". Joe said, "yup, and what's cool about it is that you can actually find rare Pokémons depending on your locations, like if you walk through a hiking trail or on the beach there's more of a chance on catching special rare Pokémons...". My epiphany was complete, as I begun to see green 1's and 0's like Keanu Reeves- but not in the Bill and Ted movie. Pokémon GO... was actually... a ... secret fitness game! Stay with me...
Pokémon GO makes you walk OUTSIDE to gather these monsters.
Pokémon GO doesn't allow you to DRIVE and find these creatures, forcing you to actually WALK (old school style).
Pokémon GO smartly KEEPS TRACK of the distances you walk.
PokémonGO gives you rare monster finds in places like the PARK, HIKING TRAILS and BEACHES.
Pokémon GO then makes you battle the creatures you locate and capture... in a GYM!
Yes, yes... I recognize your hesitation and confusion from the evidence I've presented, but ask yourself this... when was the last time you've seen so many people outside? Walking! Together. Having fun finding virtual nothingness that's somethingness???! Well Nintendo, do not fear.. your secret is safe with me.
