A:Originally from El Paso, TX … but finished my college career at the University of New Mexico and decided to stay here in Abq. NM.
Q:How old were you when you first picked up a weight?
A:Actually right about 21 years old. I was always an athlete… soccer and gymnastics … but real weight training- I didn’t begin until after my 21st birthday.
Q:What does a typical week long workout routine look like for you?
A:Wow… I actually am trained by John Meadows so I receive my program weekly. It changes every week. Given that I am prepping for the USA and dieting very hard, it’s nice to just read and follow.
Q:What is your can't live without supplement?
A:This is easy… MRI NO2 Red. This NO product is amazing. The pump and density achieved from it has been sickening. I would never train without it again.
Q:What is your favorite body part to train and why?
A:Back because I feel it was my weakest body part so I have focused on my back all season. I am told over and over that shows are won from the back. So load me up, lets win this already!
Q:Cool. Is bodybuilding your full time job or do you where other hats?
A:Technically yes… but bodybuilding has given me so many extensions. I not only train clients in town but world wide via the internet. I also started an online magazine and professional newsletter which many of more that can’t afford full out coaching can take advantage of. It has been amazing and growing in popularity.
Q:If you could have one superpower, any superpower, what would it be and why?
A:Mystique… she’s my mutant power of choice. The ability to be others is just way cool. No one could ever talk behind my back again. LOL...
Q:You're on Death Row. You have 1 last meal. What is it?
A:Ah man… I don’t eat junk unless my Coach Shelby Starnes says to eat so. But I like sweets. So maybe some of mama’s fresh baked muffins with warm melted butter, add some almond butter… yeah, I’m good… push the button. LOL!
Q:What advice would you give to the kid who went to the gym for the first time today?
A:Learn the basics and hire a coach right away. Yes the magazines are full of great pics and ads. But learning the right way from the beginning is huge. Let time be on your side and grow the using material that works.
Q:Where do you see your career going in the next 5 years?
A:I plan on being on that IFBB 212 Pro Stage… being an NPC welterweight athlete, my body is so ready to grow. I have not pushed my weight up due to the fact I have had such great success as a welterweight, it made logical sense to turn pro then take the year off to grow and compete as a pro right at about 205 lbs.
Q:Do you have any website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or blog links for the people to get in contact with you or just learn more about you?
A:I am social media loaded…
