A:I was born in AZ and raised in Utah during my school years.
Q:Describe your first time in the gym...
A:My first time at the gym was when I was in high school. I had two amazing track coaches. My sprinting coach and high jumping coach wanted me to put on some muscle on my back. That’s when I first found out how awesome it was to push myself with weights. I set personal records in my track events, but never like this. It was really natural and easy for me to pick up and push myself.
Q:Why did you choose to compete in the NPC?
A:I was looking at all these girls post progress pictures for their bodies changing. I loved the idea of competing with these extreme bodies, so it was NPC over NGA for sure.
Q:Describe being on stage?
A:It is the most awesome feeling ever to be on the stage! So addicting! You've made it. All the work you put in with cardio, lifting and your diet- it's all paying off now. It is just so much unreal fun! I love it! You're all dolled up and feeling great. Its one of the most exciting things ever!
Q:Tell us about your pre contest diet...
A:It consist of a lot of protein and veggies. I did some carb cycling to help with building my upper body.
Q:What type of workout routine do you do pre contest?
A:I have very thin sprinting quads. A lot of high reps, lower body and low reps, upper body. So much cardio, (due to the fat content I had). I had to really stick to my lifting and cardio in order to reach my goals. I was meeting with my coach and team once a week, putting time in..
Q:Favorite cheat meal?
A:I LOVE chocolate and pizza! Not on the same bite! So if I had to break it down- stuffed crust, meal lovers pizza. I also work at a hospital, and they make the most amazing chocolate cookies! I just really like food! Grandma’s homemade food, to fast food! I come from a cooking family so I start to plan out my re-feeds days in advance!
Q:What is next for you and your career?
A:For my bodybuilding career I am working towards my Pro Card and looking at expanding my modeling into the fitness industry. I am a very competitive person in all athletic activities, so bodybuilding is a very good place for me to be.
