A: I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas ... Go Cowboys!! =p ..I am back and forth between Dallas and Austin currently!
Q:Describe the thought process when you first knew you wanted to become a NPC Bikini Competitor.
A:I went to a show one of my friends was competing in for bodybuilding. I had no idea there were competitions of any kind for female athletes. I played soccer in college and I always loved working out so seeing all these gorgeous girls with killer bodies was exactly the image I wanted. I knew it was something I could do and have fun while staying healthy.
Q:What does a typical week long workout routine look like for you?
A:I do a upper and lower body split on weights. So lower body Mon, Wed, and Fri and upper body training on Tues and Thursday. I do cardio 5 to 6 times a week depending on any events or shows I may be getting ready for.
Q:Where would we catch you more often...playing sports, running track outdoors or in the cardio room?
A:I was burned out on sports after playing soccer through college and even though I love to be outdoors, you can't bring a stair master outside!
Q:What does your diet look like in a typical 24 hour span?
A:A typical off season of clean eating diet: Meal One: 1egg ,3 egg whites, banana, and 1/2 cup of oatmeal, Meal 2: 4 oz of ground turkey and a veggie. Meal 3: 4 oz of white mean, sweet potato, and greens. Meal 4: Protein with a tablespoon of peanut butter, Meal 5: 4 oz of white meat and small salad. Meal 6: 4 egg whites.
Q:What is your can't live without supplement?
A:Isolyn Protein chocolate flavor. I can take this during prep and in off season and it's the best tasting protein I've ever had!
Q:What is you favorite body part to train and why?
A:I love leg days!!! If I'm not dying during training, I don't feel like I'm working hard enough. I love pushing heavy weights and being able to see my strength.
Q:Becoming a NPC Bikini Competitor, easier or harder than you imagined? And why?
A:I think it's harder then I thought, but only for positive reasons. It changed the way I lived everyday. I never would've second guessed hitting up windows, going out every weekend, and skipping the gym. Now I'm harder on myself but this just helps me become the best me possible.
Q:I see that you're a personal trainer. What's harder, training someone or getting yourself ready for a show?
A:For me I think getting myself ready is harder. I freak out really easy and have to get out of my own head all the time. Training other people is always just fun!
Q:In your opinion, what's the key to balancing everything in your life?
A:Being prepared and organized. When my diet is on point and I'm getting my workouts in everything else falls in place and I can handle everything thrown my way. Having my meals ready and cooked is essential to staying on track. I also had to learn that it's okay to fall of the wagon every once in awhile as long as I get back on and not be so hard on myself.
Q:Weirdest thing you've seen at the gym?
A:I saw a chick hanging upside down doing crunches on the calf raise machine. I just don't even know what to say about that!
Q:Your at the gym, fully focused and rocking...what music is playing in the headphones?
A:Definitely dubstep. I zone out on Dev, Kaskade, and Rusko. It's my favorite!
Q:Your in the gym, at the end of your workout. Everything in your body is telling you to quit, that you've had enough. What is the thought that gets you 1 more rep?
A:I could leave now and maybe make up for it later. No one would know, but when I cheat on my workouts the only person I'm cheating is myself.
Q:Its 9:00pm on a Friday night, what is Aubrey doing?
A:If I haven't gotten my workout in earlier, then probably at the gym. I love working out when the gym is empty with no distractions and everyone there has the same goal of self improvement. Either that or the movies!
Q:Favorite movie of all time?
A:I really like GI Jane. I could watch that movie everyday and it makes me want to kick booty!! Girl power.. haha!
Q:What's your favorite cheat meal?
A:I have a sweet tooth. I love cupcakes with a sick passion and I'm in love with puppy chow. Definitely some of the worst things but I love it!
Q:Someone wants to become a NPC Bikini Competitor like yourself, what piece of advice would you give her?
A: Understand that everything is a process and there's a lot to learn about yourself and your body during a competition prep. It will be really hard a lot of the time but digging deep and pushing yourself will bring you more rewards then you can imagine.
Q:Facebook or Twitter?
A:I love Tweeting. I'm a Twitter birdy!
Q:Do you have any website, Facebook, Twitter or blog links for the people to get in contact with you or just learn more about you?
