A:I was born and raised in Costa Rica my whole life up until last year. I decided to move to Chile to continue with my psychology career. When I was in Chile I got an opportunity to travel to Argentina for modeling and decided to take that as a full time job and now, here I am!
Q:What part of your childhood had the biggest influence on you?
A:Oh gosh that's such a hard question, I honestly wouldn't know where to start. I can tell you about the PEOPLE from my childhood that have had the biggest influence on me. My mom and my dad are pretty much my heroes. I won't say they are perfect because they are human and everyone has their own flaws, but my parents rock! They have always supported me, even if they don't agree, and they give the best advice in the world. Everything I do is with them on my mind and about making them proud.
Q:What one thing about you would shock us to find out?
A:Ah...this is kind of embarrassing to admit (specially since this is for a health magazine haha) but, I am EXTREMELY obsessed with McDonald's. It's delicious and I can't get enough of it. I have tried to avoid it several times but now I just accept the fact that I am addicted and I embrace it! ;)
Q:Lol I respect the truth! How did you get into modeling?
A:I was at Subway eating lunch with a friend and a photographer, (Daniela Vesco...look her up she's awesome), came up to me and asked if I was a model. When I told her I wasn't she asked me if I wanted to model, that she wanted to take pictures of me. I said yes, and the rest is history!
Q:How do you prepare for your shoots?
A:I don't really...haha. I just go to bed early, have a good but light breakfast so that I don't feel stuffed, (specially if its swimwear or lingerie I'm shooting), and try to show up with the best attitude possible. I've come to learn that clients love a good attitude.
Q:Any funny photo shoot stories?
A:Well, for a casting once I had to put on a fake belly and pretend I was giving birth. Keep in mind I was a few years younger than I am now and definitely less experienced with castings and the modeling world. I was so embarrassed I was bright red. Needless to say, I didn't book the job.
Q:What direction are you currently taking your career?
A:I would love to make a name for myself, go as far as possible and push myself to the furthest I can possibly go. I obviously have dream jobs I would love to book, (Guess, Victoria's Secret, etc) but more than that, I want to be able to look back when I'm older, and be proud of what I have accomplished...
Q:Describe your ideal man...
A:This will be so cheesy: my boyfriend. Haha. Someone I can spend time with from the morning to the night and not get bored. Someone who I can be inseparable with and at the same time know that if we have to be apart we can make it work and be stronger than before. Definitely funny. I am a sucker for funny. And goofy. Understanding, trusting, caring, forgiving but not a pushover. You know, the obvious.
Q:Favorite movie ever?
A:I love Sin City and all The Godfather movies. I am a regular girl who loves chick flicks though ;)
Q:Can you give us your Twitter,Facebook,Instagram,Pinterest, blog and website handles?
A:Sure! My Instagram is @juliherzz , if you want to see my day to day life that is the best place to follow me. My Facebook rarely gets used (I am an Instagram addict) and I don't have twitter. I hate it because I have no clue how it works haha, (I'm terrible with technology). And to take a look at my portfolio you can go on Elite Miami or LA's website and find me on there!
