A:I was born and raised in the Caribbean (Grenada) and moved to Australia 12 years ago.
Q:When did you know you wanted to become a personal trainer?
A:I was always into health and fitness and decided 8 yrs ago it was one of things I wanted to pursue.
Q:You have to have a funny personal trainer story to share...?
A:Hahaha... My funniest PT story, (well more embarrassing I guess for the lady I was training), was while doing the back hyperextensions all was well, but as she got off the equipment her boob was hanging out and I didn't notice until she turned around to me. It would have been out for at least a good 20 secs or so in a packed gym on a monday afternoon ... oops lol (she did laugh!).
Q:LOL...How do you keep yourself fit?
A:I keep fit with functional training and group fitness classes. I train myself using my TRX, VIPER and Freeform board most days and then add in some Spin, Body Pump and Boxing classes... I love to keep my body on it's toes! ;)
Q:Describe your diet...
A:I like to call it an eating plan ... I don't really like the word diet, as it sounds so restricting. I'm not on anything crazy, I don't do protein shakes, thermogenics or roids. I'm totally into healthy choices. I'm a pescetarian, which means I eat fish/seafood and no other meat. The rest is made up of healthy unprocessed foods.
Q:When did you get into modeling?
A:I started modelling when I was back in the Caribbean after I won “Miss Caribbean” back in 1999/2000.
Q:You were a Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2010. Describe how that felt...
A:Winning Pet of the Year was AMAZING!!!!! I wanted to be in the Glamour world of modelling for years and friends, family, etc were so against it ... so winning for me was my sign of knowing that I was right. I worked so hard and to win was just the icing on the cake... I love being a role model for up coming pets!
Q:How did you become a People Mag advice columnist?
A:Back about 4 years now, (I think, could be more lol), People Mag rarely put Aussie models on the covers of their mags ... so I actually just shot for the centrefold and got the call saying they loved it so much that they wanted to give me a cover ... then about a week later after I did my interview with them for the shoot they asked me if I would like to try writing. I was like hell yeah I'll try anything once and heck, the rest is history! I LOVE it and my readers!
Q:Someone wants to become a model like yourself, what piece of advice would you give her?
A:The best advice I could give any one up and coming is 1. Respect yourself, don't do things just to get ahead it WILL bite you - I've seen it many times 2. Work with the best - aim high, start with the best photographers, you will learn a lot and most of all have good work to show 3. Have fun with it and don't EVER let it go to your head. Remember you have achieved YOUR goal and that's great BUT it does not make you better than anyone! And last but by no means least 4. Help others along the way .. even though no one helped me and I struggled at times, I always lend a helping hand! ;)
Q:Do you have any website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or blog links for the people to get in contact with you or just learn more about you?
A:Be sure to visit me here
