A:I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I moved to NJ when I attended Bloomfield College on a soccer scholarship and I’ve been here now for more than 22 years.
Q:How did the NPC journey begin?
A:My NPC journey began when I witnessed my first men’s physique competition in Las Vegas at the Olympia Weekend Expo. I had an immediate feeling that this was something I could accomplish because there was finally a division for my body type. I had pure excitement running through my veins. I knew this feeling was nothing I had experienced before because I was never so inspired or driven by something.
Q:You just turned pro. How did that feel?
A:Turning pro is a huge accomplishment for me. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to be part of an elite group of athletes. I have always followed my passion for health and fitness. It’s the one thing I can’t get enough of. In addition, turning pro has allowed me to inspire others and help them attain there fitness goals. This is a very exciting time in my life because I get to meet other athletes who inspire me as well.
Q:You and I were joking backstage at a show. I noticed you were extremely calm, where does this come from?
A:My calm attitude comes naturally. It’s part of my mindset. I am a very humble person who just enjoys competing and being around great athletes who can teach me something new. I never let it get to my head. I just love what I do. That’s my passion.
