A:The liveliness and color for sure! Bollywood movies are about song, dance, costumes and all that jazz! There's always a deep story to it, yes, but not without everyone breaking out into song and dance!
There used to be a very strict line in which Bollywood movies never crossed. The line of sex, drugs, alcohol, partying, kissing; those kind of things. You would never be able to watch a Bollywood film and see anything like that in there, but times have changed. The films are not being "westernized", but in fact just embracing the true facts of life! It's been great to notice the change in Indian films over the years, but the color and glamour never leaves!!!
In Hollywood, as actors, we go to any length to portray a character or tell a story. I have had to do crazy things to get into character before. For example I had to play a mental patient once, my parents genuinely thought there was something wrong with me!
I feel like the sky's the limit in Hollywood. There are endless possibilities if you have the talent and versatility. For a few hours you are able to make an audience feel things they may not have felt before, cry, laugh and engage with you. That's the best part of it all. The reason why we do what we do!!!
Q:How did your acting career begin?
A:Well, I was put into theatre school at the age of 3. On my first stage at 3 too. So you could say I didn't really have a choice! But I'm glad my parents got me into dancing and acting at the age of 3, I wouldn't be here talking to you otherwise!!!
I have done theatre since I was 3, but I started to get into screen acting at about 16. I waited till I finished school to pursue it completely. I went to university in Australia studying theatre and recently graduated from The New York Film Academy here in Los Angeles with a diploma in screen acting!
The older you get, the more you realize the depth in the kind of roles you want to play. I can't wait to start playing more evoking characters!
Q:Where have you been featured?
A:Acting wise, you can see me in a few short films and feature films and some commercials. The best is yet to come!!!
As a model, I've been in a few magazines, music videos and have done a couple of campaigns! I do enjoy commercial modeling, but not as much as acting. Acting has always been my true passion!
Q:How do you remain in shape for your roles?
A:Honestly, I don't work out as much as I used to! But I enjoy cardio, and hiking! I go to the gym a couple of times a week too! I just got back to being a vegetarian, so that's definitely helped me keep in shape!
But everything in life is through balance and moderation. I can't go on crazy diets, I love food too much!!! I've tried plenty of times and I just had to realize that there is too much amazing food in the world to stop yourself from eating!!! So I eat in moderation and exercise!
You always hear people telling you to be skinny in Hollywood, I can't wait for a role I have to gain weight for!!!
Q:What's next for you in terms of upcoming projects?
A:I am currently filming a feature film which will be wrapping up shortly. Also, we're in talks with a few TV shows and just signed a contract for a major feature film next year! Watch out for that!
Q:I will be watching closely! Who has been your biggest inspiration?
A:My parents and my sister without a doubt. They have pushed me to reach my goals ever since I was young, and never let me settle for a "regular" job or life. I mean, to each their own, but I knew my purpose was bigger than that! But seeing how they struggled to keep me afloat and keep my dreams alive has definitely been a huge inspiration too. I do everything I do not just for me, but for the smiles on their face too! I don't want my parents to have to work a day in their life again, and I want to give back to them for all they have done for me!!!
Q:Can you give us all of your social media handles?
