A:I am 100% Puerto Rican and was born in Puerto Rico... can't you tell? haha! We always have a ton of pride. I've had the pleasure of traveling around the world growing up because my father was in the military.
Q:Puerto Rico! Tell us about your days competing as an IFBB pro...
A:I had a lot of fun the first couple of years competing as an IFBB Bikini Pro but then it became a little difficult to balance my personal life. It took a toll on me physically and mentally but I am thankful for those struggles because it has made me a stronger person. It has allowed me to be relatable with others in the industry that are/were going through the same struggles that I went through. I wasn't really open about it in the beginning because I thought it wasn't positive and one of my main goals was to inspire others. What I found is that when you are your true self and you're being transparent about everything good or bad, you will inspire others much more. I never regret competing because it has allowed me to build a platform to help others and also build relationships. I mean... I wouldn't be doing this interview if it weren't for me being a part of the fitness industry so thank you for allowing me to have this opportunity. :)
Q:Interesting... what was your own pre contest workout routine and diet like?
A:I did a lot of running and stair master for cardio usually twice a day. For my strength training I did a lot of plyometrics and medium heavy weights. My training philosophy has changed since then. It's been over 3 years now since I have competed and now I have a more balanced approach to health and fitness.
Q:Most difficult component of competing?
A:The most difficult time was usually the diet the last 4 weeks and also the pressure of being fit all year long. If you put on weight, people were always quick to talk. I had a hard time with that and that is why it was difficult to be open about my struggles post competition. I couldn't imagine being a celebrity where everyone in the world is judging and watching you. Everything happens for a reason though. I grew some thick skin after that!
Q:The pressure is real. How did you hook up with Fitness RX and Bodybuilding.com?
A:After being a part of the fitness industry for a few years, I was able to build relationships with a lot of people. Most people knew that beauty was my main career and that I loved sharing tips with my followers. As I started doing beauty tips of the day and video tutorials Fitness RX allowed me to start sharing it with their audience. I'm going on 4 years with Bodybuilding.com and am so thankful for that. In 2010, I wrote the goal on my vision board to be sponsored with a top supplement company (Bodybuilding.com is the #1 online supplement store!!!). That year I was in the top 25 for the Bodybuilding.com Spokesmodel Search but didn't end up making it so naturally I was a little bummed. I told myself the year was not over and that I just had to continue to be positive, patient, and let my time come. So I kept positive because when you want something, you don't give up! On Christmas eve that year I got an email that Bodybuilding.com wanted me as one of their athletes. It was a dream come true and how awesome right before Christmas. This here was a testimony that if you can visualize and work for it, you can achieve it.

Q:What other projects are you currently working on?
A:I'm working on a secret project right now with a friend and can't wait to launch it. You'll have to follow me on all my social media channels to find out what it is because my lips are sealed, hehe...
Q:LOL... where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A:I see myself on a beach on vacation. :) I know the next 5 years I am going to be working really hard growing my beauty empire. I love empowering women to feel beautiful not only on the outside but the inside as well.
Q:Can you give us all of your social media handles?
