A:Yes, I was born in Puerto Rico- however I spent most of my childhood in the USA.
Q:Best place to eat in PR?
A:Umm... well depends what you like. I don't eat much out plus I don't really do meat but, if you want Puerto Rican food, I like Raíces restaurant and for breakfast I say El Meson Sandwiches! These people make eggs anything during open hours and I love eggs!
Q:How did your modeling career begin?
A:I never wanted to model I just did good photos, I mean at least that's what people said. My dream was to be the cover of Playboy magazine. Next thing I know I'm doing a casting for Miss Mundo Latina US; I got in and everything change, for good I guess. I became "me", I learn how to do my own makeup, hair, how to communicate, speak on a mic and discover that I'm a skin freak. Mostly I found my inner self, who I wanted to be, what I want to be known for. Bottom line... I put my self out there.
Q:Queen of Puerto Rico in 2012, tell us about this...
A:I became the second finalist of the Miss Mundo Latina US, so I won Queen of Puerto Rico, a title that Dayanara Torres former Miss Universe had in 1992. However I didn't get to compete in Queen of the World because the beauty contest was cancelled. I done a little here, a little there. Like music videos with J Quiles, Cosculluela and so on, photo advertising for local stores like Aventura bridal, Glamour by Norma in Florida, local magazines in Puerto Rico and Florida- but I think the top "thing" will be Miss Grand International. Hopefully when I get back to the USA I will continue modeling and so.
Q:How do you remain fit for your shoots?
A:Fit! I think my problem area is my tights and butt. If I gain weight it goes straight there. Mainly I do triangle leg exercises and cardio. I do weight training so nothing falls out of place, I dislike doing crunches so most of the time I do core exercises. I do think it's a 75% healthy eating, so I focus a lot on what I eat. I also take extreme care of my skin, dry brushing, detox oil, massages and many others. My new year resolution is to start kickboxing- lets see what happens!
Q:What's next for you and your career?
A:Hopefully I will be in LA in mid autumn 2015 so let's see what happens. I'm not planning anything exactly but I'm looking forward of getting into TV and advertising for well known companies. I do know that I'm done with beauty contest to be honest, I'm not a "Miss" type! I figured that out after I listened to so many young woman day dreaming of becoming "Miss Whatever" and nothing else. Well that's not me. I'm more Angelina Jolie type of thing- hahaha!
