A:I am originally from Brighton, Michigan- hoping to move to Florida in the spring.
Q:Describe your first time in the gym...
A:My first time in the gym- HA! I used to go to the gym a lot when I was in high school and I would run a lot and lift sometimes. I did not know what I was doing lifting wise at all. I would be afraid to lift in the free weight section because I was afraid of all the “big dudes”, then I would come home and eat junk! I wanted to be fit but I did not understand the concepts and work you had to put in.
Q:Tell us about your own workout routine and diet...
A:I am a NPC bikini competitor so my diet and workouts are pretty strict. I eat 6 meals a day and they consist of lean meats such as chicken and ground turkey. I eat lots of green veggies and my “clean carbs” brown rice, Ezekiel bread, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and rice cakes. I also eat a lot of egg whites and drink whey protein as my sources of protein as well. I like to get creative with my food when I can so I do not get sick of dieting. I will bake healthy options or make a stir fry.
Q:What are some secrets to keeping low body fat?
A:Clean eating, lifting weights, eating every 2-3 hours to keep that metabolism going, CONSISTENCY: with my portions and types of food I put into my body. I also like to do high intensity cardio 3-4 times a week for about 20-30 minutes. I also drink at least a gallon of water a day, and always drink protein shake post workout: it helps maintain muscle and lose fat. I do not pay attention to my weight on a scale because I know I am losing fat on prep and gaining muscle, my weight tends to stay the same and my pant size tend to get smaller.
Q:Favorite cheat meal?
A:I LOVE FOOD, sugars and carbs.. YUM! I would say my favorite cheat meal is either pizza dipped in ranch, burger and fries, sushi, loaded frozen yogurt and cookies.
Q:What other projects are you working on? Can you give us all of your social media handles?
A:I am currently working on getting my NPC pro-card. I am training for junior nationals in June and North Americans in August. I am working towards sponsorship, inspirations, and making a difference. My Facebook is Natalie Suzanne, Instagram: Natsuzanne_ and email: firstname.lastname@example.org
