A:I'm originally from Grand Blanc, MI. I just recently moved to Raleigh, NC.
Q:When did you begin modeling?:
A:I wasn't a child model like a lot of models, I kind of was an ugly duckling. In high school is when people started saying to me, "you should be a model." But I didn't think much of it, I just said "thank you" and went on with my day. I started getting asked to model in college. I thought it would be a fun thing to do around my classes and in between acting gigs. It really started to take off after college; I was starting to model for well known brands like Matrix and Ford Motor Company, and Michigan based clothing boutiques.
Q:Where have you been featured?:
A:The Chive, Men's Humor, and I have an upcoming feature on MissCoEd!
Q:What's your diet like?:
A:Lots of whole grains, fruits, veggies, and protein. I love having a protein smoothing after a really hard workout. Lately, I've also been eating organically and eating more local grown foods. It's easy to do things like that in North Carolina because there are so many great local eateries that get all their food locally. But I'll admit I have a giant sweet tooth. I look at it as one sweet isn't going to derail my diet; everything in moderation that is the key.
Q:Do you have a special workout routine?:
A:I try to change up my workout to keep myself from getting bored and to keep my body from getting used to the same workouts. I'll be in the gym 3-4 days a week, but I really love just getting outside and being active! I'd rather be outside hiking, biking, jogging, or walking my dog. I also love doing yoga; it's such a good workout, makes your muscles really long and lean, and my body just feels so much better after doing even just 10 minutes of it.
Q:When did your acting career begin?:
A:In like 5th grade. I was the narrator for a play that my class was putting on and I fell in love with acting. After that, if I wasn't playing sports, I was in the theatre. I started participating my high school's drama club and was in all the plays. I had found my passion! So I went on to study theatre in college at the University of Michigan. As an actor, you are always growing and learning, so since college I've continued my studies by taking improv classes and most recently studying The Eric Morris System of acting, which is a take on the method acting technique.
Q:Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A:In 5 years, I still see myself acting. But I also see my husband and I living in our dream house (an old house that we have fixed up), and raising a family!
