A:I was born and raised in a town south of Sydney in Australia. I moved up to the beautiful Gold Coast when I was 15 and I have lived here ever since. Australia is such an amazing country.
Q:How did you get into fitness competitions?
A: I have been a model for years, and working within the media world for some time now. I studied to become a personal trainer, and competing in fitness competitions felt like a natural progression for me. I compete in the sports model / bikini divisions. I train hard outside of my work, so it's really rewarding to compete and share my journey with aspiring models along the way and giving something new a go. I love a good challenge!
Q:Can you give us your typical workout routine and diet?
A:My routines change so often that I would have you here all day reading, but at the moment my routine is as below:
Pre breakfast : Apple Cider Vinegar with organic lemon juice, hot water, Chia seeds and Acai powder.
Breakfast: Beef mince or beef patties with steamed spinach & a handful of blueberries with a black coffee.
Morning Tea: HumaPro shake with a small green salad + 1/4 avocado
or chicken or beef with steamed greens + avo.
Lunch: Beef or chicken with steamed greens.
Afternoon tea: Chicken with salad.
Dinner: Steamed / grilled salmon fillet with steamed greens.
I am taking Charles Poliquin vitamin & minerals to contribute healthy fats, multivitamins, zinc, magnesium and a lot of primal greens.
Training changes around a lot, but at the moment I am training 6 days a weeks, split body routine with cardio every morning and High Intensity Intervals (HIIT) twice a week. Heavy weights, big sets to failure and my body is hurting but responding really well.
Q:What do you find more difficult, training clients or getting yourself competition ready?
A:Definitely prepping myself. But in saying that, training clients while prepping is a whole new ball game. The brain sometimes isn't functioning as well as it normally would when I'm not in competition mode, so it does take me awhile to get going, but I love my clients, I love my job, and I love prepping so I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Q:I see you're also a model. How did you begin modeling?
A:I started modeling at a young age, but things really kicked off in 2005 when I entered a competition they were running. I was picked from 10,000 girls to top 100, then top 10 and came 2nd. Since this I have been very fortunate enough to travel the world, experience amazing things, fulfill my dream of
becoming a successful model and TV Presenter. I travel away overseas with our defense force to visit our deployed troops on base, and this is such a humbling experience, and I thoroughly enjoy this role.
Q:I read you’re also an Octagon Girl, is that right?
A:I'm currently not an Octagon girl, but I am trying my hardest to be a UFC octagon girl one day soon. We currently have the Ultimate Fighter Series being shot here in Australia, so cross your fingers & toes for me, and I hope to be on the screen for UFC very soon!
Q:How did you become a Mass Nutrition sponsored athlete?
A:I became a Mass Nutrition Sponsored athlete after my competition in June. They are a great company, and have a lot of influential fitness competitors under their wings.
Q:What's next for you and your career?
A:So much is happening in my world, I always have 100 things on the go 24/7. Besides still modeling and freelance TV Presenting, I am designing a bra line, producing a new calendar, new business adventures, and a whole lot more.
Q:Do you have any website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or blog links for the people to get in contact with you or just learn more about you?
