A:No, I've actually only lived in Sydney for a year! I actually grew up in Brisbane, Queensland but moved to Melbourne in Victoria at the start of 2012 after my reign as Miss World Australia. My boyfriend and I relocated to Sydney when he moved to a different football team at the end of last year.
Q:Best place to eat in Australia?
A:That's so tough, but I think Melbourne in general would be hard to beat. I'd rate it as some of the best breakfasts (New Yorkers: There is a cafe called Bluestone Lane in Greenwich Village that does Australian breakfasts- try it!) but still offers incredible options for dinner, especially in the heart of the city. No one does coffee like Melbourne either.
Q:How did you get into modelling?
A:I was scouted by an Adidas representative when I was younger and modeled for about a year, before deciding to put it on the back burner until I finished school. About two months after graduating high school, I was scouted by another agency in Brisbane and within six months it turned into a full time job.
Q:Where have you been featured?
A:I've shot for multiple shopping centers in Brisbane and Melbourne, a state-wide jewellery campaign, walked in Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and the Project Runway Australia finale show and most recently shot for a feature article in Maxim Australia.
Q:How do you remain so fit for your photo shoots?
A:I'm obsessed with Yoga and Pilates so I normally do classes at least 3-4 times a week. I go to a gym called Flow Athletic in Sydney that does this class called BikeAsana. It's half an hour of spin and half an hour of Asana yoga, so you get your cardio and your yoga all within an hour... amazing! I try to eat reasonably well too, which is helped by the fact that my boyfriend's a professional athlete. He's definitely a positive influence.
Q:Any funny modeling shoot stories?
A:I was once on set and the photographer was telling me to draw inspiration from different life moments, to capture the perfect facial expression. It was mainly directives like, "Imagine you're on a catwalk! Fierce! Stomp, stomp, stomp!" But when he came out with, "Pretend you're having an orgasm! It's ecstasy! You know, like..." (And then he proceeded to perform an example here), that the entire studio broke out into laughter!
Q:Awesome lol! What other projects are you working on?
A:I have a blog called "Never Boring Black" (www.neverboringblack.com) which is my little side creative project. There's a few fun things planned for that in the new year.
Q:Favorite thing to do on a Friday night?
A:If it's during the football season, our Friday night will usually be either at the football or consist of pasta on the couch (zucchini pasta for me), if my boyfriend isn't traveling. If he is, the girls will usually get together for a few drinks and dinner and we'll watch the game together. During the off-season, we'll usually have a BBQ with friends, or go out to dinner.
Q:Can you give us all of your social media handles?
