A:I grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota.
Q:When did you come to the realization that fitness would play a major part in your life?
A:After having my daughter in 2009, I decided I wanted to get into shape “for real”. Six months after having her I competed in my first fitness competition and the rest is history!
Q:Why did you choose bikini competition?
A:At first it was a goal for me. I wanted to see what my body could do and how it could change. After I competed and placed in my first show, I was hooked!
Q:You’re sponsored by ProSupps, tell us about that?
A:Yes, I am a sponsored athlete and model for ProSupps. I have been using their products for a couple years and feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing team. ProSupps truly does have the best products on the shelves.
Q:You also model. When did that begin and where have you been featured?
A:I only started modeling about a year ago. Without ever doing a photoshoot in my life, I was asked to be in a calendar. I was a little hesitant, but said yes. It was great experience and since I have been featured in:
- Sports Illustrated “Lovely Lady Of The Day”
- Behind The Talent
- MyXy Magazine
- Kaboom Magazine “Bombshell Of The Day”
- 2013 Kaboom Bombshell Hot 100
- Acquiring Man Magazine
Q:Impressive. Describe being a mom…
A:Being a mom is the best thing I have ever done in my life. I never knew I could love someone so much. My daughter definitely keeps me grounded and has made me a better person. She has helped me discover a passion in health and fitness that I never knew I had.
Q:Where do you see your career in the next 5 years?
A:Within the next 5 years I plan to start my own personal training business, obtain my pro card with the WBFF, and grace the covers of fitness magazines.
