Q:How did your fitness career begin?
A:It began at an early age. I was a competitive track runner. This started in elementary school. I became fascinated with all sports especially running and how one person could be faster than another person, stronger, more agile. When I graduated high school I decided to pursue a Bachelor Of Science in Kinesiology to learn about the human body and answer these questions for myself. I attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and ran Varsity Track and Field. In my second year I was asked to coach a High School team and fell in love with coaching and training and it has grown from there.
Q:Describe your training routine...
A:It depends if I am training for a sport, a fitness show or if I am in my off season. Normally I do morning cardio after my first am clients, then a lift in the afternoon and if I am competing I do an evening cardio after my evening clients. Sometimes I do my track athletes workouts at the track. It is all very dependent on what is going on during whatever season I happen to be in.
