A:I was born in New Zealand and of Kiwi, Australian and Swedish background.
Q:Describe your first time at the gym...
A:My first time training? I was just skinny and I wanted to create some curves but wasn't sure how. My boyfriend at the time was a model, so he showed me around the gym and took me through my workouts. I wasn't really interested in doing what he told me to do (haha) so I ended up getting a personal trainer to learn from. I like to research a lot about the body, such as training and nutrition. I have good genetics for training. My dad is a body builder and my stepfather was a martial arts instructor in his time and was always very active and fit, so I have had a keen interest in being fit and have been lucky enough to learn about training exercises from some great body builders, (I'm very grateful for that).
Q:What does your diet and workout look like?
A:When I'm doing it right? ;) My diet: I eat 5 times a day. I'm gluten intolerant and I don't eat red meat, so my typical diet consists of acai berry smoothies with bananas and berries or gluten free muesli with fresh berries, slithered almonds and ghia seeds and half a red grapefruit. Throughout the day I alternate between raw salmon with broccoli, tuna with broccoli and almonds, cooked fish with broccoli and chicken with avocado and broccoli. I also eat half a red grapefruit with 3 of my daily meals. I find it hard to break down a lot of carbs (like rice) and often get bloated, so fruit is my main source of carbs. At my leanest, I actually ate chocolate often...I'm not sure I should be saying this (haha) but I didn't seem to put on weight, most likely because I was training well. I also take chlorophyll and flax seed oil. My training, I train full body exercises 5 days a week using the bosu ball combined with dumbbells and cables and I'm always changing my exercises up. I love training this way. It creates a tight, lean body with shape. I get bored very easily, therefore I'm not a fan of cardio machines. I would walk to my gym (45mins), work out and then walk back home and that was the easiest way to do cardio for me. I use Dfine8 as a pre workout, Acetyl L-Carnitine and BCAA's when I train.
Q:Awesome. Tell us about your acting career..
A:I actually haven't done a lot of acting, My TV career actually started with two reality TV shows. One was shot in Australia doing challenges in the outback with snakes and the other was Celebrity Treasure Island, which was like a Survivor type show, filmed on an uninhabited island in Fiji. Still having to do crazy challenges, having to win them to get food, sleeping outdoors on the sand, skydiving on to the island, getting injured- was great fun. From there I have presented music TVshow shows and been part of a successful show as a reporter on JNS where we won best entertainment show of the year at the Qantas Media Awards. Apart from that, I have had small acting roles in TV shows and been a spokes model on an extreme sports show.
Q:How did you transition into modelling?
A:I was actually a model before I was anything else. I won a modeling contest when I was a teenager and got a modelling contract. Then I went on to win all of the bikini contests and pageant circuits, leading to swimwear and lingerie modelling, covers of numerous magazines and shoots for Playboy TV, and then I won the Australian Girls of Playboy Golf contest!
